Eastern Cape Health unfazed by SIU probe

EAST LONDON - The Eastern Cape Health Department needs to get its act together urgently, that's the stern warning from the Democratic Alliance in the province, after flagging concerns over the state of some clinics in East London.

The Special Investigating Unit is also getting involved and will probe alleged tender irregularities, by officials, after the president signed the proclamation.

It's a move the department says it welcomes, pledging to cooperate with the SIU.
