JOHANNESBURG - The safety of Nelson Mandela Bay Metro schools will come into sharp focus on Thursday.
That's when the Eastern Cape Education Department sheds more light on the traumatic events in the area.
A spate of attacks in the metro have left pupils and teachers wary of going to school in the last few months.
ActionSA had in January called for a national intervention in the province.
Scores of pupils have also been unable to get to class in the metro because of scholar transport issues.
That matter has yet to be resolved.
