Easter traffic | Wet and misty on much of N3

JOHANNESBURG - Over 500 vehicles an hour are moving through toll gates on the N3 from Durban to Johannesburg.

But authorities are urging cautious driving as there are misty conditions on the route.

The N3 Toll Concession says traffic volumes are moderate but should pick up as the day progresses.

It's urging extra caution on the roads due to wet and misty conditions.

"The report that we received is that it's misty conditions on the entire route," said N3 Toll Concession Operations Manager, Thania Dhoogra.

"Our forecast is that we will see an increase in traffic throughout most of the day. We're expecting to see a bigger uptick after 6am continuing until later in the evening at 9pm."
