E-tolls | OUTA takes to the streets

JOHANNESBURG - Government has been accused of breaking its promise to motorists around the scrapping of e-tolls.

The Gauteng government promised to shut the system down and deal with the debt.

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse is calling on government to take a decisive stance on the matter.

"Just when we thought the ghost of e-tolls was dead, gone and buried, it has reneged its ugly head," said OUTA's Ali Gule.

"Here we are today talking about the same issues.

"The conflicting statements from the premier of Gauteng Panyaza Lesufi and Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana isn't helping the story."
