PHONGOLO - The truck driver in the Pongolo horror crash that claimed 21 lives has been arrested.
Up to 21 people - mostly children - died when a bakkie and a truck collided on the N2 highway in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Friday.
The police launched a widespread manhunt after the truck driver fled the scene.
The driver has handed himself over to police and is expected to appear in the Pongolo Magistrate Court on Monday.
