Discussion | Anti-HIV jab to cost the SA government

MUNICH - A new HIV prevention injection programme is expected to be implemented in more than 800 government health facilities. 

This is designed to hopefully stop roughly a third of infections in South Africa, with the potential to eliminate a person's likelihood of getting HIV.

But the cost is around four times higher than what the government can pay.
