JOHANNESBURG - The Platform for African Democrats - a gathering of leaders championing democracy and accountability, held in Angola last week has sparked controversy.

This after several invited leaders and political party representatives from across different regions on the continent were denied entry, with some reportedly detained or deported on arrival.
