Diepsloot residents want to host Ramaphosa

JOHANNESBURG - Diepsloot residents are still waiting on President Cyril Ramaphosa to address them.

The community is unhappy with the lack of police visibility and high crime in the area.

Last week, their frustrations spilled onto the streets, and eventually onto the lawns of the Union Buildings.

Just a week ago, the Makola family lost its father, a former CPF chair.

A 47-year-old woman and her son were also attacked by criminals.

On Saturday night, Operation O kae Molao descended on the township.

Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela says police are cracking down on criminals in Diepsloot.
