Diepsloot residents demand release of arrested community leaders

JOHANNESBURG - Diepsloot residents are demanding the immediate release of three community leaders who were arrested during protests.

Residents accuse police of targeting the leaders.

They once again took to the streets, fervently calling for an end to crime.

Diepsloot residents have vowed to continue protesting until President Cyril Ramaphosa addresses their grievances.

Meanwhile, the police have announced plans to deploy more boots on the ground amid escalating tensions.
