PRETORIA - Tshwane councillors have given the speaker until Thursday morning to reconvene a sitting to elect a new mayor.
Various parties are accusing Mncedi Ndzwanana of unlawfully adjourning a council meeting.

They say the speaker had no basis to query a vacancy if it was declared by the municipal manager.
The ANC has, however, welcomed the speaker's move.
The DA says it will be taking legal action against the speaker's decision.
For now, residents of Tshwane are without a mayor, and service delivery remains far-fetched.
