DA intends to suspend Nqaba Bhanga over 'racist' post

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance in the Eastern Cape has resolved to serve Nqaba Bhanga with a notice of intention to suspend him from all party activities.

This is pending the outcome of an investigation into claims he brought the party into disrepute among other transgressions.

The party says Bhanga publicly labelled Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille, a racist, and posted other allegations against her.

Bhanga will have 48 hours to respond in writing with reasons as to why he should not be suspended.

The case has been referred to the party’s Federal Legal Commission for investigation.
