DA federal congress | Delegates vote for new leaders

JOHANNESBURG - It's day two of the DA's federal congress at Gallagher Estate in Midrand.

Voting for the new leadership is taking place on Sunday morning, with results expected later in the afternoon.

Incumbent leader John Steenhuisen is up against former Joburg mayor Mpho Phalatse.

Helen Zille, on the other hand, is poised for re-election as Federal Council Chair.

Besides electing leaders, others say strong policy outcomes are key for the success of this federal congress.
