CAPE TOWN - A Cape Town DA ward councillor charged with sexual assault and rape has been granted R1,000 bail with conditions.
The court heard the alleged incidents were committed in 2018.
The complainant -- a Hanover resident -- worked in the councillor's office during that time.
The charges, in what has been labelled a sex-for-jobs scandal, were laid with the SAPS recently.
The City of Cape Town and the DA’s Federal Legal Committee are also probing the matter.
