DA: Blacklist Thembisa Hospital culprits

JOHANNESBURG - The DA wants the Gauteng Premier to act without fear or favour when he releases the Special Investigating Unit report on the Thembisa Hospital payments.

These were flagged by whistleblower Babita Deokaran before she was murdered.

Premier Panyaza Lesufi says four prominent businesspeople have been implicated in the looting of the hospital’s finances.

The opposition party wants him to blacklist all implicated companies so they never sell to any Gauteng hospital again.

The DA says President Cyril Ramaphosa should extend the SIU investigation to all public hospitals in Gauteng so that all corrupt officials are exposed and dismissed.
