BLOEMFONTEIN - Its D-day for celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana.
The Bloemfontein magistrate's court is expected to rule on her bid to be released from custody.
Magudumana has spent five months in jail since her arrest and deportation from Tanzania.
She abandoned her bail bid in May and failed to have her arrest and deportation declared unlawful.
She and 11 others face charges of helping Thabo Bester escape from a Mangaung prison.
In her bail application, she told the court the serial rapist and murderer forced her to leave the country.
But the state is rubbishing this, insisting she is in a romantic relationship with Bester.
