JOHANNESBURG - A man found guilty of fraud and trying to sell millions of people's personal data, has gone AWOL.
Out on bail, Karabo Phungula was expected in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court for sentencing.
He didn't pitch and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

In 2020, Phungula downloaded approximately 27 million personal data records and 750,000 business records from credit bureau Experian.
Police have now launched a manhunt for Phungula.
In a statement, Experian says it's thankful the law has run its course and continues to make investments in data security.
