CT shack fires leave four dead

CAPE TOWN - Gift of the Givers founder Imtiaz Sooliman says four people lost their lives in Cape Town informal settlements in the last few weeks.

Sooliman says his staff has been on the ground assisting over 2,000 people who lost their homes to the fires that ravaged the area.

Just last week, hundreds of people were displaced after a fire gutted their homes in Phola Park in Phillippi outside Cape Town.

The flare-up was close to where Gift of the Givers teams were distributing aid.
