Criminals take advantage of blackouts

EAST LONDON - Crime thrives in the darkness and in South Africa, indefinite stage six power cuts coupled with worsening crime rates have turned the country into a criminal wonderland.

Small businesses in Mdansane in the Eastern Cape say prolonged periods of blackouts have them on edge.

That’s because when the lights go out, the chancers make their move.
