PRETORIA - Over 7,000 people have been murdered countrywide between July and September 2022.
That is an increase of 841 compared to the same time last year.
Police Minister Bheki Cele says KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape recorded the highest number of murders.
He was releasing the quarterly crime statistics in Pretoria on Wednesday.
