Crime in SA | Over 100 police officers to be deployed in NMB metro

GQEBRHA - Nelson Mandela Bay SAPS District Commissioner Vuyisile Ncata says over 100 police officers will be deployed in the metro following a spate of deadly shootings in recent weeks.

Ncata says he is concerned about the crimes committed.

Several people were gunned down in separate incidents in Gqeberha over the weekend.

New Brighton Police station is the sixth-highest in terms of recorded murders in the country, according to the latest crime statistics.
