Crime in SA | Convicted rapist, kidnapper still on the run

JOHANNESBURG - The manhunt for a convicted rapist and kidnapper is still underway.

Clatto Gumbo escaped from Mamelodi Regional Hospital on Monday.

He was there for a consultation with a dietitian when he overpowered a guard.

Gumbo is meant to be serving a life sentence at Baviaanspoort Correctional Centre.
