JOHANNESBURG - Eskom's sharp tariff increases for next year and 2025 will stay in place.
The High Court has dismissed a bid for a judicial review of the energy regulator's approval of the hikes.
The application was brought by the DA and the SA Local Government Association.
They argued the increases were too high and also questioned how they were determined.
But the court found NERSA's reasons were sufficient and there are no real grounds for a review.
This means you will be paying 31.4 percent more for electricity over the next two years.
