JOHANNESBURG - AfriForum says Eskom should focus on getting its house in order instead of using tricks to better its situation.
The embattled power utility has been exempted from reporting on irregular and wasteful expenditure for three years.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says this will protect the utility in international markets.
AfriForum is lodging an application to have Treasury's decision reverted.
Its Local Government Affairs Manager, Morne Mostert, says this can't be tolerated.
"There should rather be time and effort put in to better the reporting system, to better the supply chain management.
"And I think the supply chain management is one of the key problems that Eskom is having where the contract management isn't being done properly," Mostert said.
