Councillor, two others shot dead in Mpumalanga

PIET RETIEF - Police in Mpumalanga are investigating a shooting incident in Piet Retief which left three people dead.

One of the victims is a local councillor.

The three were shot multiple times and succumbed to gunshot wounds.

Three suspects fled in an unknown direction and are still at large.

"A case with three counts of murder was opened and an investigation team has been assembled to probe the incident," said Donald Mdluli of the Mpumalanga SAPS.
