BLOEMFONTEIN - Cosatu has sent a stern warning to its alliance partner, the ANC, to get its house in order or risk losing votes come next year's national elections.
The trade union federation has also urged the party to protect workers and ensure that leaders keep the promises they've made to South Africans.
The union's president, Zingiswa Losi, has also called on the ruling party to end power cuts and rebuild passenger and freight rail.
Losi was speaking during the ANC's 111th birthday celebrations in Mangaung.
