PRETORIA - The case against former National Assembly speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula's court case has been postponed to March.
This is to allow for Mapisa-Nqakula's defence team and the state time to meet and discuss what can be disclosed and what can't be disclosed, as her lawyers seek disclosures of Section B and Section C of the investigation docket.
This was heard on Monday when she appeared before the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.
Mapisa-Nqakula faces 12 counts of corruption and one count of money laundering.
The charges stem from allegations she was paid millions in bribes by an Defence Force contractor.
If the two teams don't reach an agreement within three weeks, they could make arguments on the 28th of March.
However should a disclosure agreement be reached, the matter will be ready for trial.
