JOHANNESBURG - Calls for the protection of whistleblowers always amount to nothing or worse - the targeting of those exposing corruption.
That is the concern raised by activists following revelations that SAPS whistleblower Patricia Mashale and her husband fled the country.
There are even claims that hitmen were hired from KwaZulu-Natal to kill them.
