POLOKWANE - Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba says society and communities should do more to protect and support young women.
She says the police will be looking into the men involved with teenage girls who’ve given birth in the province.
Ramathuba also added that these girls will have to return to school and complete their education and not become part of the statistics.
Limpopo has so far welcomed 50 new babies into the world this Christmas day.
The MEC says this number is likely to increase.
She also raised concerns over the number of babies born with HIV
Ramathuba was visiting Mankweng Hospital earlier.
