JOHANNESBURG - The first day of classes has not happened at the Durban University of Technology's Ritson and Steve Biko campuses.
Issues around the National Student Financial Aid Scheme are at the centre of the shutdown by students.

According to the Student Representative Council, some students had been waiting for NSFAS in order to register.
Others, on the other hand, have offers that are still pending.
