JOHANNESBURG - It’s all smiles for the Class of 2023.
They're receiving their exam results on Friday.
The national pass rate is 82.9 percent, a slight improvement of 2.8 percent.
The Free State outperformed all other provinces.
It achieved a matric pass rate of 89 percent.
Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga lauded the matriculants for overcoming many challenges, especially disruptive power cuts.
The national pass rate for the Class of 2023 is 82.9% which is an increase of 2.8% from the 80.1% in 2022!
