JOHANNESBURG - City Power is urging Joburg residents to use electricity sparingly.
This as it says the system is constrained.
The entity says it may be forced to re-implement load reduction to avoid a total grid collapse.
Meanwhile the utiltiy is attending to a cable fault affecting power supply to customers in Lawley, Lilly, Mimosa, Pine, Willow, Hilel and surrounding streets in Northcliff.
While the estimated time for restoration has not been made available City power said they will continue to keep affected customers updated on the developments as work progresses on site.
