JOHANNESBURG - There are now 11 confirmed cholera cases in South Africa and one death.
All the cases are in Gauteng, and the most recent infections to be confirmed were in people with no history of international travel.
This has raised concerns about local transmission.
Health department spokesperson Foster Mohale said it's too early to declare an outbreak.
"We are still trying to establish of these infections," he said.
"For now, we say let’s maintain hand hygiene."
