Cholera outbreak | WRC says Hammanskraal residents still at risk

JOHANNESBURG - The Hammanskraal water situation is a ticking time bomb and it calls for urgent reconsideration of the country's water provision.

This is according to the CEO of the Water Research Commission, Dr Jennifer Molwanta.

The commission has released its findings on the cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal.

Molwanta says several factors contributed to the outbreak and residents there are still at risk.

"Out of the independent study, we do believe that the community is still at risk," she said.
