Cervical Cancer | 10 000 women diagnosed and 5000 die in SA each year

CAPE TOWN - Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among South African women.

But it's also the most preventable and curable form of cancer if detected early.

So why the high mortality numbers?

Out of ten thousand women diagnosed each year, five thousand die.

Low-income countries face many challenges in attempts to eradicate the disease.

Dr Ntombi Sigwebela, Regional Director of FIND spoke to the eNCA to elaborate on those challenges and how we can eliminate the disease.
