CAPE TOWN - Cape Winelands firefighters are battling to control wildfires in the Breede Valley and Witzenberg regions.
The blazes have been raging for seven days now.
They started in Kluistjieskraal, outside Wolseley last week.

Working on Fire Managing Director, Trevor Abrahams, said the fires have destroyed an estimated 22,600 hectares.
"Fortunately there have been no lives lost although 40 structures in an informal settlement were reportedly destroyed," he said.
"It's an ongoing battle. It's in a mountainous area in a nature reserve."
