CAPE TOWN - More than 1,800 hundred people were displaced during the recent storms in the Western Cape.
Provincial disaster management authorities say their focus now is on providing humanitarian assistance.
Municipalities are assessing damages, which might pave the way for the province to be declared a disaster area.
Authorities have warned that although the extreme weather conditions have passed, residents should be aware of possible rockfalls and mudslides in some areas.
