Can imbizo commitments keep Gauteng taps on?

JOHANNESBURG - The next step in Gauteng’s provincial plan to address critical water challenges seems to be here.

A first-ever imbizo between various spheres of government, from councillors at local level right up to the national department, has been held.

It’s meant to foster better dealings across all stakeholders in the hopes that the worrying trajectory of outages can be stopped.

The big plan includes an inter-governmental engagement that must try and move towards practical solutions to deal with a water-scarce future.
