Cameron: Officials say Bester a 'powerful figure' in Mangaung prison

JOHANNESBURG - Justice Edwin Cameron revealed that during a meeting with the South African Police Service, two officials mentioned that Thabo Bester was a powerful figure in the Mangaung prison.

And the convicted rapist and murderer was running his business enterprise from the facility.

"Officials indicated to us that Thabo Bester had made enormous amounts of money," said Cameron.

The Justice said that the video appearance at the Sandton Convention Centre in 2018 was so significant.
