CAPE TOWN - The Friends of Table Mountain are calling for better safety measures on the World Heritage Site.
They handed over a petition to the Police and Environmental Affairs Ministers.
There have been a number of crime-related incidents on and around the mountain.
"We know there isn't enough resources to cover the whole park. It is an open access park so we definitely need to see more visible policing," said Andy Davies.
'We'd like to see some kind of camera network at critical points, we need to see fences fixed and then overall we need to see a much better strategy working together with the other law enforcement agencies."
