Brian Molefe's appeal to overturn order to pay back pension payout dismissed

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom will finally be able to force Brian Molefe to return his pension fund.

The power utility announced that it will enforce an order granted to the Eskom Pension Fund, to recover the R9.9 million pension payout, since Molefe's appeal was dismissed.

Eskom has also implemented steps to freeze the pensions of staff who have resigned in the face of disciplinary proceedings.

This emerged as the Standing Committee on Public Accounts received an update from the power utility on its recommendations to Eskom.

Scopa is also getting an update from the SIU and the Hawks on the investigations that they are conducting on the power utility.
