JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s ambassador to Algeria, Billy Masetlha, has been described as loving and supportive, as he was laid to rest today.
Masetlha died, aged 68, after a long illness.
He had a long career in government, having served as director-general of the National Intelligence Agency as well as Home Affairs.
Masetlha had been deeply involved in the anti-apartheid movement and a member of Umkhonto weSizwe.
