The Best escape | Nine suspects expected back in the dock

BLOEMFONTEIN - More details about Thabo Bester's daring prison escape are expected to be revealed on Tuesday.

That's as nine people implicated in the saga are expected back at the Bloemfontein magistrate's court.

The NPA has confirmed the rapist and murderer will appear virtually.

His co-accused, including his girlfriend, Nandipha Magudumana, are expected in person.

They face charges including fraud, corruption, aiding and abetting a convict, violation of a corpse and arson.

At the same time, a group of former employees of the Mangaung prison are planning to march to the facility.

They say they want to expose widespread corruption at the facility.
