CAPE TOWN - Residents of Bellville in Cape Town are fuming following a sewage pipe collapse more than a week ago.
The collapse has caused an unbearable stench with sewage water flowing into the street and some homes.
At least one house has a pool filled with sewage and some residents are also unable to flush their toilets.
The City says repairs to the sewer pipe started on 28 December 2024.
A contractor is on site to do the repair work while depot teams are assisting with the clean-up and disinfection of the affected property.
