CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Provincial Education MEC David Maynier says his department is working hard to ensure placements take place timeously.
He says the department is also building new classrooms to accommodate greater pupil numbers.

Frustrated parents in the province queued to have their children admitted to various schools.
Over 900 pupils in the province could not begin the academic year as coastal schools reopened.
Some claim to have applied early but have been allocated to schools that are far away and others are non-existent.
