JOHANNESBURG - African Security Congress is planning to shut down Eskom's Megawatt Park.
They want heads to roll, particularly that of the power utility's head of security, advocate Karen Pillay over the awarding of a R500-million tender to the Fidelity Security group.
It's alleged former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter and former board member Busisiwe Mavuso influenced the awarding of the contract.
Party president, Tebogo Motloung says they won't stop until they get answers.
He said, "tomorrow [Tuesday] morning, we'll be having a march to Eskom, the Megawatt Park, at 9am. The march will start at 9 until 10:30AM."
"Our objective is to hand over a memorandum to them, and give them 7-14 days to answer on our grievances. Their failure to answer to that will lead to a march that is going to shutdown Eskom up until there are answers in terms of this corrupt activity."
