DURBAN - Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi says anti-corruption measures have unintentionally slowed the rollout of temporary houses in KZN after the April and May floods.
Kubayi was responding to the Auditor-General’s report, which claimed KZN was too slow to respond to floods. on the sidelines of the Human Settlements Indaba.
She defended the Department by saying the reason for this was that there were too many controls at play.
