CAPE TOWN - The grounding of an Angolan charter plane at Cape Town International Airport remains in place.
The Transport Ministry says this is until the mandatory permit is received.
The aircraft entered South African air space illegally.
There were only crew on board and the South African Civil Aviation Authority has established that they had relevant documentation such as passports.
They were also suitably licensed and qualified but the plane did not have the required Foreign Operator’s Permit.
Sacca found no further contraventions against the aircraft.
The Angolan Embassy has apologised and requested assistance and guidance on the way forward.
