CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has allegedly reneged on its promise to not cut off clients whose accounts are in arrears.
This is according to Rise Mzansi in the Mother City.
The city had indicated that instead of cutting off homes that can't keep up with payments, it would deduct a fee every time they purchase electricity.
However, Rise Mzansi says those in arrears have now been left without essential services like water and electricity.
The party will lead pickets outside the civic centre and the Human Rights Commission offices.
