Obed Bapela faces disciplinary action over Morocco trip
JOHANNESBURG - ANC NEC member Obed Bapela has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chair of the party's the International Relations Subcommittee.
The ANC says Bapela failed to explain a trip he took to Morocco. He now faces disciplinary action for violating the party's Constitution.
Bapela has also been asked to cease further engagements with any government or political party representatives on behalf of the ANC.
It's alleged that during his meetings there, Bapela encouraged Moroccan companies to invest in South Africa.
