ANC NEC members to be announced

JOHANNESBURG - The ANC will announce the names of additional members of the National Executive Committee on Wednesday.

They were elected at the party's 55th National Conference, which ended on Tuesday.

The names were supposed to be released on Tuesday night but counting continued past midnight.

Over 200 candidates made it onto the ballot.

The NEC is the ANC's highest decision-making body and is comprised of the top seven and other members.
